Hotbit AMA🎉： DuckDAO (DDIM) AMA in English Telegram
AMA content review
💗Guest: Ken — Founder of DuckDao; Cjay — CTO of DuckDao
Sara: Hi, @ken0evo & @Christbkk, Welcome to Hotbit Global Community to have the amazing AMA with us! Can you tell us a bit more about yourselves — what are your roles within DuckDAO, and how did you get started with Crypto?
Cjay: Yes sure, I am in Crypto since 2016 mining some Bitcoins with a friend that time and evolving over the years into Blockchain Tech.
Ken: I am one of the lead Ducks at DuckDAO. My first contact with crypto was when I bought Bitcoin in 2013 and 2014, and then MtGox happened. After that i nearly forgot about it for years, until i read something about BTC again in late 2016. And since then I have been really active in the space.
Sara: Thanks for the introduction. Let’s start my questions. What special meaning does Duck have? Why the name DuckDAO?
Ken: The DAO part is clear, but the Duck part is simply the name of our previous community group. DuckDAO was the natural evolution. Also — who doesn’t love ducks!
Sara: The DuckDAO ecosystem now has 2 different tokens — The DuckDAO Dime ($DDIM), and The Duck Liquidity Pool token ($DUCK). Can you please elaborate on why there are 2 tokens in the DuckDAO ecosystem, and the differences between each token?
Cjay: The core token of the DuckDAO ecosystem is the DuckDAO Dime — $DDIM. DDIM was created so that we could build a loyal community that could benefit from our business model regardless of their financial position. Presales and private sales have always been highly sought after, and DDIM not only gives access to these exclusive rounds for our members, but creates a source of value that is driven by the demand from the wider market.
Ken: The $DDIM token is required for members to access the different membership tiers of DuckDAO. The more tokens that you hold, the greater your benefit within the DAO. The $DUCK token completes the DuckDAO ecosystem. It can be used to not only generate passive income through farming, but provide investors with access to the public sale rounds of projects through our farmcubations and DuckStarter.
Sara: Looking at your medium page and twitter account, we can see that DuckDAO has a massive partnership network — influencers (Ivan and Boxmining), auditors (CertiK), and many more. What do you guys primarily look for when establishing new partnerships?
Ken: We primarily look for individuals/entities/projects/companies that can provide value to our strategic partners and incubated projects. This wide network is, the greater the sum of its parts — the more we grow, the more partners we attract, and the greater the value we can provide to our members and our incubated and partnered project.
CertiK is a pretty obvious choice as well — they are the industry leaders in security and auditing. Our relationship with them provides immense value to all our partner projects and gives the entire ecosystem a level of security and peace of mind that few can match.
Cjay: Our content creators and influencer partners are some of the biggest names in the space. You’ve mentioned some really good examples already — Ivan and Michael (Boxming) run some of the most respected and informative channels on YouTube. They provide a huge amount of news and education to our members, as well as shine the spotlight on our various incubated projects.
Sara: What sets DuckDAO apart from its competitors?
Ken: Everything, We have a massive array of individuals from all over the world that have been keen crypto investors for years. We do a lot of research and deep diving across projects from all sectors, but being able to listen to community feedback and constantly adapting our model(s) has been the key to growth in the space.
Cjay: We’ve talked a bit about our partner network above, and whilst this is a key strength of ours, one thing that is not mentioned often is the strength and knowledge of our community.
Sara: Can you tell us a bit more about what’s on the horizon for DuckDAO? Are they some key roadmap items that you would like to highlight or bring some attention to?
Ken: One of the things that we announced recently was a planned move to the Binance Smart Chain. We’ve all experienced the pain of the ETH network fees over the last few days, and being able to operate on the BSC network will alleviate a massive amount of costs for all those who want to be a part of the DuckDAO ecosystem. DuckStarter as example we gonna move to BSC too
Also….. DuckSWAP. I’m afraid we can’t give too much away at this stage so we’re gonna have to hit you with a “stay tuned for announcements”
Cjay: We can’t talk too much about the fine detail of the planned move yet — it’s something that has to be done with the utmost care and planning. Our dev team is hard at work making sure that it all goes smoothly however, and we are confident that this change will be rolled out securely.
Sara: Do you have a discord group?
Cjay: No. Telegram only
Sara: How do I join DuckDAO? Can anyone join?
Ken: Basically yes. Anyone can join DuckDAO. Our focus has always been on trying to give the little guy access to the hottest opportunities in crypto without being preyed upon by VCs.
Each tier of DuckDAO provides members with access to private sales. Whilst the upper echelons of the Diamond Lounge may seem a bit crazy, just think about it this way: each of those members started somewhere as well. They just needed to find the right opportunity at the right time
Cjay: Joining DuckDAO is as simple as purchasing DDIM (The fight club costs 10 DDIM) and then joining our channels. Join the DuckDao Lobby and check out the pinned messages: https://t.me/duckdaolobby
Sara: Quite detailed explanation. Thanks for the introduction. Now, let’s proceed to the next session public Q&A.
@Housamh89: What is your plan for global expansion? At present, which market does DuckDAO focus on, or is it focused on building and growing to gain customers, users and partners? How are functions such as scalability, workflow, databases, and user privacy protection deployed and handled? Where do you feel need to improve in the future?
Ken: Hey, I think we are already rather global. But right now we are preparing to also expand more on the Chinese and Asian markets.
@Cryptolover440: What incentives do you have for stakers, holders and miners in $DDIM?
Ken: We don’t have any incentives for DDIM stakers or holders. The incentive is to join our inner groups. But with $DUCK you can farm on the DuckFARM and get around 150% APY in average
@Latheefa007: Which area does focus on at the moment? (DeFi, Nft, Dapps, Stake, Yield Farming.
Cjay: Great question as well. We have currently our Farm online where people can Farm Duck Tokens. Also we launched DuckStarter which is our launch platform for new crypto projects. Due to the high gas fees currently on ETH our main focus is right now to go multi-chain with #BSC and #DOT in the making. Stay tuned for more #BSC announcements soon.
NFTs are also one of the topics we further explore we recently joined Defi Gaming Coalition.
@Exsaiting47: Do you do buy back or token burn to increase the value and drive scarcity. If not, do you have plans for such in the future?
Ken: We have token burns for both of our tokens DDIM and DUCK through our Duckfarm.
@DrstrangE6: Ambassadors play a very important role in every project, do you have an ambassador program? If yes, how can I be one?
Cjay: This is a good question. DuckDao is successful because of its community members. The community is DuckDao so everyone is an ambassador. The whole community works together and built DuckDao.
@Eliasbb: Security is always top priority for a user. Can you tell us about your platform security? Have you done any audit via any third party?
Cjay: Security is nowadays key. We work mostly with Certik together, a leading Audit company in the space. We have a strategic partnership with them and work closely on a week to week timeframe on different projects together.
@update_908: Which projects are your closest competitors? For example, do you accept Uniswap, Curve or Balancer as your competitors? How will you take to the next level?
Ken: The DEXes are no competitors yet. I think in the field of DDIM we are super unique and very strong, there we don’t really have any competitors. On DuckStarter the competitors are PolkaStarter as example. But as a whole our ecosystem has much more cover than only being a Launchpad.
@jessekerluke: Can you list killer features of DuckDAO that makes it ahead of its competitors? What is the competitive advantage your platform has that you feel most confident about?
Cjay: Access to Presales and Public Sales is our key USP.
@Cryptolover440: Can you talk about interest levels from other developers/apps to enable token/coin?
Cjay: This is a good question. Best is you search at Coingecko for DDIM and DLP DUCK these are our two tokens.
While DDIM has a normal supply the DUCK token has a deflationary burn process included. That being said the Total Supply you see for DUCK right now at Coingecko will decrease over time when more people burn their DUCK tokens e.g. by unstaking out of our farms
@ricemikel: What are the first steps to take to start building on DuckDAO? What benefits does DuckDAO offer to developers?
Ken: We are very flexible and moving very fast. And we are community focused, I think everyone will confirm you that.
